Bring Holiday Cheer to the Sandy Club

Post Date:11/21/2016 11:48 AM

MayorDolan_SandyClubThe Sandy Club, “A Safe Place for Boys & Girls”, is a Safe Haven for children of the ages of 5 -18 to go to after school. The club’s doors open when the school doors close. There are special programs for the kids. They begin with socializing for the first hour. Then, the kids play football, soccer or basketball (something physical for the next hour), then study hour at the end of the day. Education is important at Sandy Club so, at the end of every day, it is time to do homework and work on computers.

Sandy Club is still in need of donations including:

  • Pool Table Conversion Top - it goes on top of a pool table (2)
  • Size 5 Soccer Balls - Official Soccer Ball
  • Jump Ropes
  • Hula Hoops
  • Jump Rope Hula Hoop Rack
  • Giant Checker Set
  • Bike Racks (2)
  • Brain Quest ( Barnes and Noble) for study hour
  • Cup Stacks (sport stacking cups)
  • Sports Mesh Bags
  • Volleyballs
  • Cones for Football and Soccer

Additionally, volunteers are needed to play and work with the children during Study Hour.

If you would like to make a donation, volunteer or just visit the Sandy Club, “A Safe Place for Boys & Girls”,  please contact Linda Martinez Saville at 801-561-4854.
