Sound the Alarm Program

Post Date:06/30/2017

Sandy City Fire Department’s top priority is Public Safety; so we have partnered with the American Red Cross to participate in the “Sound the Alarm” Program with a goal to install 1,000 smoke alarms free to Sandy residents between now and October.  Currently; we are a quarter of the way to reach our goal.

According to the NFPA, smoke alarms save lives. When properly installed and maintained they play a vital role in reducing fire deaths and injuries. If there is a fire in your home, smoke spreads fast and you need smoke alarms to give you time to get out.

If you or anyone you know may be in need of a smoke alarm installed, please contact Sandy City Fire Department at (801) 568-2930.
