Sandy Amphitheater Volunteer
Cathy Spuck grew up in Baltimore, Maryland but has made Sandy her home for the past 22 years. She says that as a child she was taught to go the extra mile, to exceed expectations. Growing up in that environment she knew what to look for when moving to Utah. She quickly discovered that Sandy City works hard to also exceed expectations.
Cathy says that Sandy residents have opportunities with our many parks, trails, Amphitheater, Sego Lily demo gardens and many festivals, just to name a few.
"As a teacher, Sandy Amphitheater volunteer, a former employee and a homeowner, I know I can count on police and the fire department to be professional, and to show their concern about the welfare of individuals as well as the community."
Cathy taught at Crescent Elementary for 25 years and is still a "Crescent Club" substitute teacher. She has also served as a Neighborhood Watch Area leader and taught earthquake preparedness classes.
"The best part of Sandy is the PEOPLE," Cathy shares. "Living, playing, working and volunteering in Sandy has given me opportunities to meet amazing friends, neighbors, teachers, students and their families."
