Miss Sandy 2017
Emily McIntyre has been serving as Miss Sandy 2017 since December. She is currently attending Utah Valley University in Orem studying Nursing with an emphasis in pediatrics or psychology. Emily’s platform is called Voice for the Voiceless. The goal of her platform is to help homeless pets and promote the “adopt don’t shop” motto. She wants to show people what an influence animals can have on our lives. She works with The Humane Society of Utah and spends many hours volunteering and hosting events to raise money for supplies they need. She said “Adopting a pet or helping a shelter pet get adopted is saving a life, and I am so happy to be apart of that.”
Emily said “Preparing for Miss Utah has already been an incredible experience. I have loved being able to know what is going on not just locally but nationally in our world. I love being able to have an opinion on certain news subjects and I love sharing that with others. I can’t wait to serve the city as Miss Sandy and represent the city in the Miss Utah Pageant in June.”
