Bradburn Brief: October 2018
Is there any better season than fall? The leaves are changing and the air is getting cooler. While I am a big summer fan, it’s hard to beat the natural beauty of fall in our city. Bulk Waste Clean Up is in full swing. Make sure to check out sandy.utah.gov/bulkwaste to find your pick up date and a list of accepted waste.
Fall means that snow is on the horizon. I recently had the opportunity to drive a snow plow truck through an obstacle course at our Public Works facility and I can vouch for the fact that these trucks are not easy to navigate! Our snow plow truck drivers have a difficult job and I am deeply appreciative of their ability to clear the roads while keeping residents safe.
This month, we are sending out a survey to gain feedback on future community events. We look forward to implementing your suggestions as we build out the calendar for 2019. You can sign up for the citizen survey panel at sandy.utah.gov/citizenconnect.
Below are just some of the questions included in that survey:
1. Please rate your satisfaction of the following events using a 1-5 scale
• Fourth of July Celebration
• Sandy Amphitheater Season
• Balloon Festival
• Movies in the Park
• Heritage Festival at Main Street Park
• Deck the Hall Christmas Lighting Ceremony
2. Do you have any suggestions for our Community Events Division?
This kind of feedback will ensure that we plan the kinds of events that bring value to you and our community. If you are part of an organization who would like to plan an event in Sandy or would like to sponsor an event please contact Molly Morgan at:
Lastly, please remember that you can always connect with us to get more information by going to our City websites sandy.utah.gov and SandyNow.com and by accessing our social media channels Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube for daily updated information.
Thank you for allowing me to serve you.
