I Am Sandy: Shane and Korban
For the past decades, Sandy City has been fortunate to have had two city residents that have doubled as city employees who have diligently facilitated many projects and initiatives in Sandy to better our community.
Shane Pace joined Sandy in 1990 as an intern. Since then he had served as Management Analyst, Risk & Budget Manager, Assistant to the CAO, Public Utilities Director and Assistant Chief Administrative Officer. He was instrumental in acquiring water rights, improving street lighting, upgrading our water conservation program and won the 2011 Best of State and US Conference of Mayors Awards for Water Conservation Efforts. Shane has gone on to become the City Manager in Farmington.
Korban Lee, who has been with Sandy City since 2003, also interned at the city as a graduate student and had since been in city leadership serving as a Management Analyst, Assistant to the CAO and Assistant Chief Administrative Officer. Some of his city successes include Granite Community relations, Adventure Week among many other city events and activities, citizen surveys, The Cairns master design planning and annexation efforts to name a few. Korban recently accepted a position as Assistant City Manager for West Jordan.
We wish them the very best and are confident they will do great things in the cities they are now serving.
