Monroe Street Improvements Public Open House

Sandy City, in cooperation with the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), is conducting an environmental study for proposed improvements at the Monroe Street and 9000 South (SR-209) intersection. The project will improve operational safety and reduce traffic delay at the intersection. Proposed improvements include:

  • Adding dual left-turn lanes to the intersection
  • Adding north and southbound merging lanes on Monroe Street
  • Extending existing southbound to westbound right-turn lane on Monroe Street
  • Adding a southbound merge lane to south leg of Monroe Street

The project is currently in the environmental phase, with construction expected in 2020. If you have any questions, please contact the project team at 801-483-3444.
