Special Events Permitting

Sandy City is committed to supporting quality events. In order to ensure a safe and quality event for the applicant and participants, as well as citizens who may live and/or work in the surrounding areas, a Special Event Permit is required for any function:

  • Whether it be on public or private property
  • Where it may require additional parking
  • When it creates unusual noise

If it is on the city streets or right-of-way (this includes but is not limited to: block parties, concerts, 5K’s, cycling, filming, weddings etc.)

Whether the event will have 30 participants or 3000, the event permitting process is necessary to ensure the safety and enjoyment for everyone.
