10600 South Interchange Update
Closure UpdateThe interchange is on schedule to re-open Monday, Sept. 25 before the morning commute. Crews are finishing repairing the 10600 South bridge over I-15; installing overhead signs; and placing striping on the new pavement.
Commuters can expect the following once the 10600 South Interchange re-opens:
- The northbound on-ramp will be in it's new configuration. The curve is much tighter than it was before - SLOW DOWN and pay close attention to avoid accidents.
- The signal on the northbound off-ramp heading west has been pushed back; it is very similar to the 11400 South northbound off-ramp.
- Pedestrian access is now only accessible on the north side of the interchange.
Keep in mind, the underpass will not be open to drivers until next year. Crews still need to pave the bottom of the underpass and build the connection to the northbound I-15 off-ramp.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation during the closure. Our crews have worked day and night to open on-time.
