For those of you meeting me for the first time, here is what you should know. I have been an attorney for the State of Utah for most of the last eight years, first as an Assistant Attorney General, and then for the Department of Human Resource Management before becoming Sandy’s Mayor. My wife, Marie, and I have been married for 12 years, and we have four amazing, beautiful, and often times crazy children. I love sports and I'm passionate about the things that matter most in life: family, friends, and community.
I believe brevity is a lost art, especially in politics. So, let me get right to the point. I want each of you to understand from the beginning that my whole purpose as your mayor is to truly be different. I know everyone says that at the beginning, and then they end up acting just like all the other elected politicians at the end. Well, not me.
I’m different because I have a plan that provides solutions to the greatest problems facing Sandy today; a plan that will lead our city forward to a better and more balanced future. And, I'm excited to share that vision and plan with you as I serve as your mayor.
I’m excited to be a part of a Simpler, Smarter, and Stronger Sandy City with each of you.
